economic development board

I see that they are looking to fill a position in the board, I am not sure the names they mentioned in the paper would be good ones or not. I think we need someone in there that can help bring businesses to town, they need to spend the $600,000 they have in their account or they need to give some of it back the city or county, wherever it came from. They have it to spend why don't we see them using any of it to bring businesses to town?

    Wouldn't work. They already have who they will put on it. Someone that will just let them spend money on wetland projects and dehydration plants that have zero returns.
    I have applied three time for different positions there and was told to my face that they just make them public because law requiers it, they put who they want in it.

    How would a person even go about putting their name in for it. To me it sounds like the city council is going to come up with names they feel would be interested in it. Avenger, why don't you try it again and see what they have to say this time and let us know.

    Please, do tell us how to get on or to address the board. All of us can apply or give them our un-biased opinions for a change and maybe replace the ones that don't have our interests first place.
