  1. Just got an email tonight, Fri. at 6pm by a parent. Her words "Well she appealed It. Now we wait for it to go to the district judge to read the transcript. I'm leaving it in God's Hands just like yesterday. His Will be done. Thanks for praying for us."

Jennifer just won't stop and address her problems. I'm going to email the parent, my good friend, and ask her how the trial went, now that shes confided with me once more. Joy

  2. she confided in you and you put it on the internet?

  3. I also heard about the appeal, Friday morning. no big secret. Doesn't make a difference. By the time it is all done she will be 18 and her record will be cleared of all of this. MSK

  4. if all you want is for her to "adress her problems and get help" isnt it fine if her record is cleared when she is eighteen? I dont see why you want to send her to prison over this or whatever your problem is

  5. She killed 4 girls and has no remorse. I say charge her as an adult and send her to jail. MSK

  6. Remorse is one thing. But, I still say this was an accident. After all, are we going to charge everyone who had an accident which involved the death of themselves or another person? What about an accident of nature? A tree falling, a deer jumping out of the dark? Then who do we charge with the accident?

  7. Talking with someone about this and he brought up a good point. What about sports? Who do we charge then? The coach? The players? The league? Just curious...

  8. You need to compare apples to apples, when a law has been broken ie- drunk driving, running a stop sign, failure to yield then there should be charges filed.

  9. I recently read about a coach who was charged in a high school boys death. He collapsed and had a internal temp of 107. Jennifer said that the girls told her a semi was coming. She tried to beat the truck across the road and failed. There are acts of god as they are called and there is negligence. Unfortunately I was told that one of the parents was told that this conviction would stay on her license forever. That is not true. 5 years. Her criminal record will be wiped clear when she turns 18. The CA lied when she told the families she could not charge her as an adult. MSK

  11. I'm not familiar with the story about the coach who was charged. But anyone who as participated in sports, especially at the high school & college level know that practice can be gruelling. The youngster should have been cleared to participate, the only way I can see the coach should be charged is if it can be proved that he deliberatly ignored this kids signs of distress. Which I think would be difficult because I would imagine the whole team was showing signs of distress, runnning & praticing in the summer heat. The only thing I could find on juvenille criminal records state that 2 years after sentence has been fulfilled a request for expungement can submitted, it is not automatic, & it only removes it from public record, it can still be reviewed if she gets in trouble. I don't think the families were lied too, she could have been charged as an adult there is a severity grid that is followed as to when to charge a juvenille as an adult. The other thing is when you try a case you get one shot if the prosecuter over reaches the whole thing can be thrown out of court. From what I know the families want some accountablity & hopefully a lesson learned they don't want this to happen to someone else. So far Jennifer & her familiy don't even acknowledge she did anything wrong. As far as what Jennifer said about the girls yelling semi it was in her statement to the KHP.

  12. Badboy, I researched it on the State of Kansas Webpage. The level was right to charge her as an adult. Ultimately the families need to be satisfied with out come. They need to feel closure. Is it true that Jennifer told LeAnn Alcala "to get over it" or something to that effect? If you know. MSK

  13. No Jennifer did not say that to any of the parents, it was a rumor that she had said this to another student, that the parents of the girls lost needed to get over it.

  14. Patriot, didn't Jennifer say that to Susan M. sister? And to Red Man, Yes this person is a close friend, and yes she did let go of her feelings to me about the pain she feels daily, and absolutely NOT would I go on the internet with a word that was between friends, or a word that this person didn't want on here, or anything but the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I wouldn't say anything that people didn't already know. Geeezzzz! Joy

  15. Hi Joy, I don't know. I heard she said it but badboy says it was a false rumor. Her actions in court were enough to prove her lack of remorse. MSK

  16. Maybe its not lack of remorse but a complete numbness..maybe the girls screamed semi after it was already to late....I don't think she purposefully tryed to kill anyone. I do think her family should have handled it better, but I think it is our human nature to try to blame someone for an awful accident. I almost feel that we are helping kill this child slowly we want to punish her for living because our other four children died.Asking who is to blame is the wrong question. It doesn't matter. What matters is what you are going to do about the problems in your life... how you are going to face them and overcome them. Putting her in jail doesn't solve their problem their problem is still their they lost a child...and you can never make that go away but hate can only lead you to more hate

  17. She already had another similar accident and luckily no one got hurt. She tried to blame the Schanlau boy but got caught. Putting her jail may save some one else from dying. My information is that she was a mess before this accident ever happened. MSK

  18. I know that she was a mess but I guess I don't know what the answer is...its just a sad situation and I may feel the same way if it was my child..I just would hate to think that a town who's children aren't invovled helped make her a little worse..I understand the parents anger but the rest of us I think need to be careful

  19. I feel you are on the right path Steel. If she does not get the help she needs to deal with this, admit it not only publicly but more importantly to herself, she will never heal. If she never heals, she will never straightern her life out. Jail alone is not going to do that. I hope she is getting the help she needs. I could not imagine being 16 and knowing I killed my friends, I have no idea if I would act diffferently or not. At that age we do not have the mental logic and reasoning, life experience, or life knowledge that many of you have now that you have been through more and lived more. My heart goes out to all involved.

  20. I believe she has a mental problem and simply does not care. What about the families, what do they need to heal. Maybe justice? MSK

  21. Is't the age of accountability when you absolutely know right from wrong? And doesn't this come around 2-5 yrs of age or even younger, also? If Jennifer doesn't feel remorse at all, then she has a major pychiatric problem, or is a psyhcopath where a person doesn't have a consience at all. Joy

  22. Haven't heard an exact date. I did hear she is pregnant now. That is one way to keep out jail. MSK
