Jennifer Longfellow Trial this week

It is my understanding that the trial in front of Judge Alford is set for this Thursday January 22nd 2009 at 2:00pm. I could be wrong on the time. I was also told this was an open hearing, so anyone could attend. MSK

  1. I would like to see some of our people attend this hearing. I understand the defense attorney is supposed to get pretty nasty. The families can use the support. MSK

  2. I still wonder if this girl needs more support then what she is getting-counseling guidance, something.....Can the court order her to get this type of help?

  4. Guilty on five counts. 4 Vehicular Homicide and 1 Failure to Yield. Sentencing is in a month. Problem is she was charged as a juvenile and her record will be clear when she turns 18. Just like it never happened. County Attorney didn't have the guts to charge her as an adult. Tate did behaved himself as far as I could tell. Five dollars she only get probation and fine. MSK

  5. Just had a phone message from Susan Mason on a Mennonite Brethren Church prayer request line. Jennifer was found guilty on all charges. Susan asked for prayer also for Jennifer that now she will get help.

Wonder what the judge will say now.. joy

  6. Im going to eat my words. This accident of the little 4 yr old boy, decapatated, etc, is hanging in my heart and I can't let it go. When my children were growing up, I was a wreck if I didn'g see them always. We lived on a farm which is worse for a child to get into trouble. I've been remembering so many times I could have lost my child or children if I hadn't been on top of them constantly. If S.R.S. didn't mind,(AND I'D LIKE TO SEE THEM TRY TO TELL ME HOW TO RAISE MY KIDS) a swat on the butt and a time out and they knew business. A little child learns rules quickly.Dont tell me differently. Why do they put their little hand on their bottoms when they think they are in trouble. I'm not saying beat them, just pat them on their but, send them to time out. Fear was on my mind 24/7 while bringing them up. I wasn't a pycho Mom, they needed to have supervised fun.Maybe a tad overly unbearing, I didn't want my children hurt or dead. If you commit to having children, you commit to protect them at all times. If you can't go out with them, surely they can play inside. I am going to get bashed, but a child is a gift from God, and we are to treasure each and everyone. Why have children if you don't put them first and let them know what a rule is very young. If they cah climb and find the peanut butter they can do anything. God give you a child to treasure, love, esp protect. I can't conceive a baby sitting in a car all day wihtout NOONE knowing she was still there. Is this love, Is this wathing over the baby. Things happen, but under my watch I tried so very hard to take good care of them. No I'm not condeming Ivy, because I just know her Mother and she is one nice person. I feel so sad for all the families that lost loved ones this year. I will not point fingers, because the minute i do, something will bring me down for judging. joy
