Trashy Town

I used to always think that this town was pretty clean and a good place to live. But after I went back around wichita and drove through some of the smaller towns, I have to say this place doesn't even start to compare. Our main street looks deserted, the spaces in between the buildings could be celaend up, maybe put small parks in them. You can drive around town and only a few sections of town look good with the way the neighborhood keeps things clean, but the rest of town looks like nobody cares. What does everyone else think?

  1. you say things like that, and then many people complain when they do things like builindg a gazebo because you think it cost to much. when they try to improve frazier park you complain it cost to much and shouldnt be done. if it wasnt for the trashy trailer parks on both ends of town it would be nicer to

  2. I really don't think I have complained that much, also it wouldn't take much to do a park on main street, they could get the boy scouts or other groups to come in and do it, i've seen it done in other communities and it looks nice.

  4. no, I would be willing to go and help if they had a plan to actually do something that would make this town more appealing.

  5. well brainy I got an idea, go down to whatever place is in charge of parks, and tell them you will finish beautifying the gazebo that has been started on main street at the site of the old drug store.

  6. Brainy, I believe there are plans in the works to do somehting for the Centennial Celebrations next year. I agree that there are some inexpensive things they could do to spruce up Main St.

  7. I heard that there was someone planting flowers out at Frazier Park. Is that true?

  8. I haven't heard that, but it seems like a bad time to be planting flowers.

  9. Planting tulip bulbs, Brainy. What a witness to city pride to plant tons of every color of tulips and tons of purple hyacynth bulbs all around the gazebo. If a group was formed to work on the gazebo and they had Willie Nelson music, I would be first in line to help. joy

  11. Right on. I'm already on the web, checking his schedule and typing in about our fund raiser for a good cause. Would he please consider coming to our small community. Waiting on an answer. Love that pony tail. Love all neat pony tails on nice men.

  15. I have a brother who had a rough 3 years health wise. Been on short term disabiltiy and off 6 months, the next year another surgery and off over 6 months. With medical bills, gas and groceries sky rocketing its been tough to get his prop. taxes paid. He talked to the treasurers office and they said they understood. Then Robin got it and said if he didn't pay it immediately it went to sheriffs auction. He called Robin, talked to her about payments, she was a snotty snoot. He is honest, pays bills, but these years almost bankrupted him. She could have been kind when telling him over and over he is responsible. She, after being rude, said pay the one year, the auction would be put on hold until he got the other one paid.

  16. I know this one guy that got two weeks in the county jail for his second DUI and I think he got that much time because he got divorced and then filed bankruptcy so he didnt end up paying his divorce lawyer who was the county attorneys uncle I think they just gave him the maximum time because he never paid her uncle

  17. Brainy, it was awhile back that I heard that. Say around June? I'm not sure.

  18. When I voted today, I came to Robin, wanted to up chuck, but fought it back and wrote in an attorney that prob. won't take the position. But if enough people wrote in someone else, maybe she will think. Why can't she stay humble with people. Don't we pay her wages? One day, she might need friends, esp the ones she made feel lower than low. I wish she would be for the people that she is supposed to represent. joy

  19. Tomorrow the election is over and I will have to accept who is elected. I've prayed, cried, lost sleep, etc because of this election. DUH, I am powerless and my life is unmanageable, and I turned the election over to my God. (Gonna have to join Celebration Recovery) Ok, red man, are you serious. Should I try to get Willie? Order the flowers. Are we on. Joy-sending out my vibes to Willie,
