tumbleweeds

Is anyone else tired of the tumbleweed problem in town? What are we supposed to do with them?

  1. Paint them pretty colors and sell them on ebay. Or, just burn em. One or the other. MSK

  2. My husband and I happened to drive by my elderly aunt's home and was amazed the amount of tumbleweeds she had. Her yard was stacked high clear to her front door. She was unable to get out her door or drive her car out of her garage. I told her we would get them out of her yard. She shared she had called the city and they said just put them in the street. HOW could a person this old do this? She also called the Sr. Center for help to no avail. She was in TEARS as to what to do. Don't you think the city would esp. make sure the older folks were taken care of??? Is it not true the Sr. Center has money out the yahooo to hire women to clean elderly people's home, but cant help in other ways??????

  3. They are worse today than yesterday. The city hauls off limbs after a storm. Why not tumblemweeds after a blow?

  6. My aunt called the high school and offered to pay anyone that would clear hers out. Noone was interested. So I agree with Patriot, lets paint them and sell them. It would bring in enough money for this jubilee or whatever they are calling it. That way one wonderful rich lady wouldn't have to ask the city for that huge amount for her project. Geez why don't we come up with a project and bring it before the city council and ask for $50,000 and go bulldoze that poopy pond before someone out of town sees it. Or bulldoze the rat trap fire hazard trailer courts that are a run by those so called slum lords. I've said enough. Its sad that everyone expects money for helping people out by getting rid of the tumbleweeds or any kind of chore. Its all about money. Our young kids are growing up without a sense of doing good for just the great feeling that you get when you do a good deed. joy
