$500 Fine and No Drivers License for One Year

I received an email from an unknown person last night and this is what they said. Jennifer Longfellow was sentenced yesterday in court. $500 fine and lose of driver license for one year. Can anyone verify this. It is not clear if the appeal was successful or this was for the original charges. If this is correct, it is very sad. MSK

I am now hearing that Judge Clint Peterson did not allow the victims families to testify and Hathaway is appealing to the Attorney General.

Predator at Hickok School

Hi All, I just received an anonymous email from a concerned citizen stating that there is a potential predator at Hickok school. Jesses Alonso is a janitor there and apparently he sent flowers, balloons and cards to 5 young girls at Hickok for Valentines Day. There was more but the citizen said they would get back to me. Anyone know about this? MSK

Tax the beer to pay the tax refunds and state employees

Here we go. Sebelius has suspended paying out of tax refunds to us and may not be able to pay state employees. I am sure her buddy Obama will bail her out. Perhaps we should suspend paying our state taxes. Hell the Dems don't pay their taxes.

Separation of Church and State

Hi Everyone, Last week I read in the City Council Minutes that there was a Minister present and a prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ was said just prior to the council meeting. Then during the meeting Pete Woods questioned whether having a prayer during a government meeting was the smart thing to do. This bring up up the debate about church and state. I understand that Woods was just trying to protect the city from a law suit that might be filed by some nut job or the ACLU. I say who cares! Bring em on. The ACLU stopped protecting the civil liberties of citizens a long time ago. This country was founded by men of Religion, it is on our currency, the Declaration of Indepence and so on. Pete, grow some nuts. I was glad to see the City Admin defend the prayer, sort of. What do you think? MSK

I received info that Marvin's court date is April 22, 2009. I also heard that 2 more women have gone to Law Enforcement with sexul battery complaints on him, one as recently as a week ago. Humbleweed, You know anything. MSK

Cancer in the police dept.

Has anyone heard that two, maybe three officers are suffering with cancer? I do know that they are going to a Bible study to give them strength throughout this ordeal. With the wreck that cost our community those beautiful young women, the baby that was left in the car, or the child that was decapitated and more, can we ask what is going on in Ulysses? With what is going on without morals is it God's Hands upon our little town, telling us to stop our wicked ways and I will heal your city.My thoughts, Joy

Stop the Fairness Doctrine

In the 1980's President Reagan got rid of this violation of Free Speech and now the Dems seek to bring it back. In a recent interview Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow said she wants to hold hearings in a effort in act the Fairness Doctrine again. She says that there needs to be accountability in talk radio. This is a liberal effort to silence Conservative Talk Radio because they can't put for a host that can compete with Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck.

If we don't stand up for Free Speech, the Dems will trample all over it. This Doctrine will require that Radio and Cable programs will have to give equal time for a member of the opposing party to present their side of the story. The Libs already have 90% of all the Newspapers and Cable and Network news programs and now they want to silence the Conservatives who challenge their beliefs.

I saw that Obama wanted to extend the deadline for converting the analog signals to digital. Congress went ahead and approved it and now all he has to do is sign it. Does this make since to you? The public has known about this for 2 years, if they aren't ready it's their own damn fault. I think the president has more to worry about in this country then extending this out for another 4 months.

two rumors I heard this weekend.........does anyone know if they are true

#1 is Larry's Oil - I was told there was a story on KSN about Larry's Oil being investigated for something about Gas prices or overcharging on gas or something..... ? Does anyone know if there is something going on with them or is it just another rumor.

#2 Main Stop
I was also told that the IRS is looking for Dennis from the Main Stop that he is in trouble with the them and that is why the Main Stop is not open. I find it hard to believe that his is on the run as the Main Stop would be locked up by the IRS if that was the case, I think anyhow
