Pet Cemetery

I brought this up on the other post a long time ago. Being an animal lover I always thought it would be nice to have place where you can take your dog or cat so that you can remember them. How would a person go about getting one started and setting rules to abide by? How much would you charge to bury an animal there?

  1. I think the tradition of having a small funeral in your back yard is just fine. Unless you have a bigger pet like a horse, cow, or giraffe, then a pet cemetary would most definately come in handy. Also I would worry about "ZOMBIE" pets like in the book/movie (pet sematary).

  3. Wow, he is alive. Where you been Robert?

Brainy, I guess you just need a plot of ground and a place to order head stones. Might be a buck in it.

  4. Isn't there some kind of regulations? Like keeping the pets away from the water sources?

  7. I know that there are some sort of EPA regulations, but I don't know to what extent. Would be pretty cool...especially little caskets & head stones.

  8. I've heard of lots of pet cemeterys
Are you on to something? If you go in the country, buy sev. acres from a farmer and set it up correctly with little head stones, what does the city have to do with it. Brainy what a great idea. Of course you would have to charge for upkeep, etc. Work it out on paper. Pet lovers will love your idea.

  10. You are the only person to call me Joy Lyn. I need to drop the clueless, because it was dumb. You might just have a great business oppurtunity if you work it right. Its like the project at the gazebo, planting tons of all colored tulips to Willie singing to us to brighten up main st. Dream on...

  11. Robert, I'm spooked now. I will never be able to walk out in my backyard where my little dog was buried. Brainy, get with it. I will never bury a pet in my yard again.

A pet giraffe????? Who would have a pet giraffe?
Now my pet elephant would be ok.
